Sunday vigil in Smithfield calling for Resignation of Johnson County Sheriff

Coalition Calls for Resignation of Johnston County Sheriff Over Inflammatory Anti-Hispanic Remarks
The HKONJ coalition of progressive groups has called on Johnston County Commissioners to request the resignation of Sheriff Steve Bizell because of inflammatory anti-Hispanic and anti-immigrant remarks he made. News and Observer article. More articles.

A vigil will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Smithfield Courthouse, 124 S. Second St. Smithfield, NC. For more information contact Irene Godínez Irene@elpueblo.org
