Mark Your Calendar: HKonJ 2009: February 14th, 2009

HKonJ (Historic Thousands on Jones Street) will hold its 3rd annual march and rally on Feb. 14th,Valentine's Day, in Raleigh. Details will follow soon. See http://carolinajustice.typepad.com/hkonj/ Progressive Democrats on NC is one of the 80 plus HKonJ partner groups who support the 14 point People's Agenda. 2009 marks the 100th Anniversay of the NAACP and a new beginning for national, and hopefully, state politics. We need to work with the NAACP and other allies to help build county progressive assemblies across the state to pressure our elected leaders to move on the 14 point agenda. And we need to do everything we can to help mobilize a huge gathering on the 14th. It is not too early to start that organizing.
