To all NC progressives:

This is a marvelous opportunity for NC progressives to have a place at this
across-the-South table: the table developing the progressive Southern
Strategy. It will be laid out at the fully bottom-up, totally grassroots
Progressive Southern Strategy Alliance's conference at the Franklin Delano
Roosevelt Institute, Warm Springs GA, September 10-12.

Everywhere we read, watch or listen, it is said that the South is the last
bastion for the conservative crowd. Most of us are unconvinced that we
should have any desire for the South to be painted with the conservative
brush - in fact its time to sweep away the cobwebs of the Nixon forward past
of the old Southern Strategy for a progressive Southern Strategy. (It is
particularly believed by Republicans in the South that our president lacks
citizenship.let's show them citizenship.)

Tell us what your being a Southern Strategy stakeholder will bring to this
important effort - both in the development of the strategy and in the
commitment to the action plan to be developed. As they say, "You may already
have won." a place at the table insisting on a truly new South. This
opportunity will fully close on August 31. Savings can be had by registering
early.
