Where is Healthcare Reform now?

Dear Orange-Chatham Progressive Democrats,

Despite the apparent slowdown in Congress, health care reform is
closer to passage than ever before:

Without reform, the problems with our health care system will
only get worse, eventually forcing change.

The powers of the status quo have resorted to fear and misinformation.

Each house of Congress passed a health care reform bill last year.

More people than ever understand the need for reform. Many local
groups have formed and are connecting with each other and with
activist networks.

Bottom line: we should not give up.

Specific action is needed now:
I have heard from two different sources recently that Congressman
Price is hearing more from opponents of health care reform than
from supporters. He is wondering whether his constituents still
favor reform. We do, and we need to let him know! Please give
Congressman Price's office a call or send an email or letter saying
that you want him, as a senior member of Congress, to lead in
pushing health care reform through.

Here is the contact information:

It can only help if Senator Hagan hears from us as well. Her
contact information:

And give Senator Burr a piece on your mind:
