Note From The PDNC President

Progressive Democrats,

Below are two reports on the 2006 Annual Meeting of the Progressive Democrats of North Carolina .  It was an excellent and productive meeting.

Special thanks to our excellent guest speakers, to Isaac Coleman who coordinated the event, and to the excellent board members who served on the Caucus and PAC boards, and those who stepped up to run for the new combined board.

We have formidable organizing task ahead of us, and we need your full support if the vision and potential of this organization is going to be realized.  That means joining, forming local chapters, and advancing the cause every way you can.  We will have more information on how to link up in the coming weeks.

When we returned from the meeting, we found that our PAC website had been hacked.  We are having to rebuild it.  You can see it in progress at www.pdncpac.org .

The first document below is Susan Oehler ’s excellent summary of the meeting that she wrote up for the Progressive Democrats of America .  Then there are the formal minutes of the business part of the meeting and the contact information for the members of the Executive Committee.

We will be back in touch shortly after the election.  In the meantime, let’s get that vote out!

Pete MacDowell
PDNC President
