2007 Legislative Agenda Meeting January 20th at Elon College before SEC Meeting

Dear NC Progressive Democrats,

Please mark your calendars for the next meeting of the Progressive Democrats of North Carolina, 11:00 a.m. on January 20th at Elon University . This meeting coincides with the annual NC Democratic Party State Executive Committee meeting, which convenes at noon. The precise location will be announced in a later email, along with our “2007 Legislative Agenda,” currently being developed, to be presented to the SEC.

Please also mark the following dates on your calendars:

January 20: NCDP State Executive Committee, Mosely Center, Elon University, Alamance County and Progressive Dems meeting.

January 24: NCGA convenes

February 10: NAACP Major legislative rally in Raleigh (We strongly urge all progressive Democrats to support this event and to join the NAACP! Stay tuned for further details.)

February 17-March 3: Precinct elections

April 14-24th County conventions: election of SEC members

May 19: District conventions

Early May: Training for progressive candidates

July 12: Deadline for filing for municipal elections

August: Annual Meeting, specifics TBA

You can support PDNC by participating in some or all of our events, and by becoming a member of PDNC, renewing your membership, and/or making a financial contribution, large or small, and by organizing a chapter of Progressive Democrats in your county.
