PDNC Phone conference 8/13/07

On the call:  Pete, Susan, Isaac, Helen, David

In regards to pulling off the Lt Gov Forum we have to consider the drawbacks:
Not all candidates would be able to be in attendance
We only have two weeks to get everything mapped out
Pete and David will be out of town

Looking at the moving ahead:
Isaac is willing to chair and be the moderator for the event
David and Chris are working on the hard ball questions
Susan is offering to email the candidates with the initial invitation and will contact
Delmas to see if he will do the follow up calls
David will contact Tom Mills who is managing Doughton's campaign
Helen will look into getting video camera and sound system
We can probably get 3 out of 4 candidates or at least get some reps from those
who can't make it. (Smathers may be able to send a rep since he can't attend)

It
was decided that Susan will go ahead and send out invitations to the
candidates and we will determine how to move forward once we hear back
from them..hoping to hear back by this Friday.
David and Chris will continue to formulate questions for the group to review
Heidi
has offered to help and everyone besides Pete and David will be there
to help.  We're hoping to get Mike Sprague to help also.
We will need signs to put on doors at entranceways, etc. announcing the event.

The forum will last from 12:00 pm to 2:00 PM at which time the State
Executive Committee Meeting begins.  The event is in Greensboro this
year.
We will ask the audience to bring their lunch with them.
We'll stay in touch with updates via email this week
Next phone call will be 8/20 at 8:15 PM.
